Not sure i've ever seen women wear those in Egyptian murals and paintings.... In fact i don't think i've seen anyone wear these before the Napoleonic era...
EDIT: Well, just checked Wikipedia for evening gloves, not the be all and end all, but it will do for now. earliest depiction is Queen Mary in 1690 wearing evening gloves below the elbow.... So our Twosret is about 3000 years out of fashion....
It is leather gloves. All royal weapons and armour were decorated, often beyond the practical, as the egyptian royals were seen as literal gods made flesh, so they had to have a strong wow effect, and were seen more as living standards than actually efficient combatants, on a tactical level.
If anything, Tausret is closer to the origin of the evening gloves fashion, than Mary could ever be.
Yeah i don't know about evening glove fashion to be honest but i doubt they are like what she is wearing, i don't like the art direction taken here personally. There clearly were gloves in ancient Egypt and they don't look like what she is wearing. There is apparently a wall art somewhere showing an Egyptian wearing gloves but not been able to find it yet, but perhaps could change my mind when i see it.
There were some linen ones found in Tutankhamuns tomb, Which are longer than i expected to be honest, not sure what he used them for, maybe for charioting perhaps.... I can't imagine you would want to wear gloves any longer than you would need to in Egypt, and saying that when i currently live in very hot country.
They were expected to be literally perfect of body and mind, so they had to use a lot of makeup, to cover flaws. I can see them wearing gloves to avoid blisters while riding chariots or fighting, like we do for landscaping or in construction today.
Oh sure, i understand the purpose, i use them for construction site visits where required for safety, but i wear them for the absolute minimum time required.
I'm not opposed to her wearing gloves at all, i just don't like the type she wearing that look like evening gloves or latex dominatrix fetish gloves.
Anyways, each to their own i guess.
Thank you for the link. I am aware that gloves were worn back in the period. I'm just not convinced on the style that the art department has decided to go for on Twosret.
EDIT: If anything, it sort of reminds me of the Mummuy returns with Anck-su-namun, Imhoteps squeeze.
Have you looked at the colours and length ( up to 15 inches) of the glove/gauntlets, and why they were called “cloth of arm” or “with arms hidden in clothing” and not just gloves as well call them.? Anyhow...more images/description here:

Not sure i got around to looking at Anck-su-namun hands, i kinda got distracted elsewhere.......
Yeah, there is certainly evidence here presented for long gloves, with colour too, though the longer gloves all appear to be of a more baggy laced design, with exception of the children's pair (which is unclear if laced or not) and the funeral gloves. Still pretty amazed with those found in Tutankhamuns tomb, very impressive find.
The discussion points i did find interesting for rank and status and proposal to not touch the Pharaoh in social gatherings. So yeah i think i'm more convinced after reading these, though dark blue form fitting leather ones.... maybe not but we will never know for certain until we find a pair. Guess would be very similar to Amenmesse and his horned hat, don't think i've seen one of those either. What do you reckon of the style used in the game?
Lol. I think that's what most normal people would do to be fair.
I think allowing for artistic licence, there is little to get antsy about, i might tone down the colour schemes in general, as it comes across tad vivid.
It is a great looking game!
