Hello everyone! It's been a long time since you've heard from me, but today I'm announcing the retirement of Firewerx from the Steam store.

I made Firewerx as my first major leap into proper game development back in 2022. I had high goals and hopes for the game, but unfortunately disinterest and demotivation from a particularly rough time kept putting me off future updates until I abandoned the project altogether.

I know I know, it's been a little under 3 years since I released Firewerx, but after recently developing an interest in programming again, I figured it's finally time to put the game to rest so I can move on.

For those of you who bought and played Firewerx, thank you so much for trying it out! Every single person gave me just that little bit more motivation to keep working on it back in the day, so despite my inability to finish the game I thank you all so much.

So, what's for the future? I'm already working on having Firewerx removed from the Steam store, and once its gone, its gone! Current owners of the game will still be able to play even after the shutdown, though I can't guarantee full functionality with cosmetics and Steam's inventory system.
