It’s Juan from StudioBando, and I have super exciting news for you all today: SOPA - Tale of the Stolen Potato is part of the Latin American Games Showcase - The Game Awards Edition 2024!!

Be sure to check out the awesome LAGS stream to get a glimpse into the most exciting projects coming out of Latin America, and get a taste of SOPA, our emotional narrative adventure inspired by Spirited Away, Coco, and The Little Prince!

The demo’s got it all: frogs, pandas, dolphins, shady characters! A sweet grandma! One potato! The list goes on, but you’ll have to play to find out the rest :)

Demo Feedback

Seems like a cute fun game, but needs some polish. Think the 'oar' shouldn't be able to be picked up until specifically needed, as I swapped it out for the boat, leaving it as far away from the door as possible, when it was previously right there by the door and an easy trip. Leaves in foreground can get in the way of seeing what I'm doing, specifically trying to get back into the house from the pantry was difficult to pinpoint cause there was a leave blocking me. A small feedback on the demo

-The animations, design and story are very fun. -The graphics are pretty, but they need more settings. Such as disable motion blur and enable Vsync. -Some of the actions with the mouse are a bit annoying and inconvenient. for me personally i was playing only with the keyboard, when the boy opened the fridge, the quick time event needed me to suddenly go to the mouse and it's just wasn't fast enough. Maybe that's just a me thing, but i still think that if the game doesn't allow to move the camera, then usin...
