Price tags mean nothing at all about a games quality but with a price tag come expectations and comparisons to other games in the price range.
How do we figure out what people beg for? Well, sadly, I'm not gonna pretend that I'm an all knowing gaming guru; I don't know what people beg for, but I think that this is literally a job (like, figuring out what the demand looks like), and it's not my job. If someone convinced this studio that this was totally what gamers were looking for = I'd have a few questions for that person...
i played the game and i thoroughly enjoyed most of it, i for one think its a good game, can you explain why you dont think the game is good, preferably without needing to invoke any of your anti woke rhetoric
Sure, the woke stuff is just the cherry on top as well as the staff and mind they had while making this. Its not rhetoric but a fact what I wrote or do you think this game financed itself through sales?
Its bad because:
-> You fight the same few enemy types for hours and hours in what could be described as the most basic combat with no variety.
-> You have generic bosses with entirely unfitting Disney Musical music (WTF) that is so incredible out of place I've never seen in a game ever before, check out Gwyns theme in Dark Souls it was epic and meaningful.
-> Platforming is basic and is just a bunch of copypaste (wowow wallrunning never seen before)
-> Puzzles are literally for babies and are neither smart nor require any thinking or analytic skills.
-> You can get any other Souls-like on the market for less, equal or a slighter higher price and they all offer more. (Any Dark Souls, Khazan, AI Limit, Elden Ring and so on)
-> They couldn't afford to make animations with more frames.
-> 40€ for 8H at average gameplay time is pretty bad.
Overall it adds absolutely nothing to the genre and for this price you can grab any other Souls-Like and have a better experience in every aspect.
Its basically the same as with other woke games like Veilguard or Avowed - They are far inferior than other products in the price range or their predecessors. Veilguard is the worst Dragon Age that has nothing to do with it, Avowed is literally worse than Oblivion since in Oblivion NPCs have a life while in Avowed its all fake and lazy. These just aren't good games.
instead of tackling your point 1 by one in what will obviously turn into a semantics battle, all i'll say is that i played the game all the way through and i like what it provided to me, it has its weak spots like combat but it has its strengths with its story and presentation, a perfect 7/10, and by the way you talk i can tell nothing i can say will change your mind so all i can say is im sorry the game didnt give you what you wanted
Also and I know I'm in the severe minority when I say this but I don't mind a short game as long as it's good, I rather pay 40 bucks for 10 hours of having a good time than 40 bucks for 100 hours of something that may have more content but is just a ok experience, but again that's just me
