I did it!
Did the 108 fights at the beginning to get the colored opening. No achievement but my soul feels lighter!

I've played the games so very often but I honestly don't remember if I ever did this^^
Better man than me
I tried once when I was young and lost count in the 80s. Do you remember exactly what lvl and XP you had? Can you go over 108 and still get it?

Yeah, I kept track with the potch amount. Since you get 250 potch every battle it's 108*250 potch. You start the game with 700 potch by default and also get 84300 potch from the preorder bonus if you select that.
So in general you'll have to have 27700 without the bonus or 85000 potch with the bonus at minimum after 108 fights. I also took screenshots of the level and potch amount just in case, I'll upload em in a second.
Grate, I did try to do this long time ago. Same as above, I keep losing count so give up

Also I tried it 3 times yesterday but was very tired yesterday and misclicked all three times. The last time was especially frustrating because I realised it was literally at 106 battles :lilimsob:
Taking a good night of sleep helped with that issue though.

In the Captain Rowd fight at the beginning of the game you can not run away 108 times and the opening scene after it is colored instead.

It's also a good way to get strong characters early.

Yeah, as someone said just now the opening will be colored.

I did this last night, took around an hour and 20 minutes. Worth it? Maybe. I feel that the monochrome intro has a lot more emotional impact to invoke nostalgia between the 3 main characters. The colored intro is still great but I wouldn't recommend it on a first playthrough.

Yeah, definitely. I just wanted to do it because I never did it 20 years ago lmao. So I did it out of nostalgia's(ironic) sake. It is a little bit disappointing that there's no achievement for it but I wasn't expecting one in the first place anyway.

There's a scene replay in the main menu but I'm not sure if the intros are part of it. I can't even see what the scenes are until you finish the game but the colored intro doesn't really seem to give you anything extra here which is a shame.

We'll know once someone finishes 2. I don't really mind though, I just did it for my own sake.

Yea, sorry, that is an important detail. This is a Suikoden 2 thing.
