I like what they did with Stallion in Suikoden 1 lol

People may have not noticed it, but if you have Stallion with you in combat, you can speed the combat up to 4x instead of 2x. He also gives you 100% run chance and you go brrrrrrrr on world map now.

The changes are nice. Not sure how he is in 2 but I imagine it's the same.

Hmm oddly enough, I took him out of party and i was still able to do the 4x combat speed. His rune says 4x combat speed but without him in party, I'm still able to speed combat up 4x. Confused now. Maybe a bug or this always been a thing.

maybe its a passive affect once he joins your castle.

How? I press x to speed it up once, pressing x again makes it go back to normal speed.

Then that means we need Stallion recruited before it works. Maybe he has to be in the party least once as well. His rune specifically states it gives 4x combat speed, 100% run rate, and faster movement in the world map. I took him out of my party at some point and was still able to use the 4x speed (the arrow on bottom right of combat will show 3 arrows and turn yellow on 4x). Since he's an automatic recruit, you may not actually need to put him in party at all for the 4x speed after he joins, but I did not test that. I am fairly sure the 4x speed didn't work before he joined.
