Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars

Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars

Suikoden III EU/PAL
I'm looking forward to the release of Suikoden 1&2 (which is definitely coming, yeah?) and I love Eiyuden so far.

However, Suikoden 3 is still a special game to me because, well, I never played it. There was no PAL release. I'd love to own an actual copy so I hope this gets an overhaul and global Steam release as well in the future.

It was also the last game Murayama worked on before he left Konami and it was clear that Eiyuden is trying to pick up some ideas, like the three protagonist thing.

The war battle system looks a bit weird on Youtube but still. I saw it has some more lore and backstory for Jeanne.

Back in the days when i learned there would be no release in europe i bought a modded slim PS2 that could play any PS2 game to solve my thirst for the game. Emulators and mods today have come far from those days, there is even a 60fps HD version of S3, 4 and 5 made just recently, which is probably closest you will ever get unless a miracle happens.
Though unlikely, that would be awesome. It's unlikely because the perspective when walking around is troublesome, so it wouldn't sell well nowadays, if the perspective isn't reworked. Reworking it is probably time-consuming for developers (each place in S3 has its own parameters for that). I hope I'm wrong here. Then there are also all the problems that the S1&S2-Remaster has, whatever those are (S1-localization? multi-platform?).

Edit: In ECHH, the perspective is in principle the same, but better implemented.

Not to burst your bubble, but I consider III by far to be the worst Suikoden. I even liked IV better. It is NOTHING like Suikoden I and II, or even V, so get used to that.

Yeah, I gotta agree with this fella to calm your expectations in regards to three. 3 and 4 are both very different from 1,2, and 5. Even if Suikoden 3 has my personal favourite protagonist in the entire series(♥♥♥♥ yeah, go Geddoe!!), they're both in a way quite experimental in regards to suikoden games. In different ways.

Suikoden III was released in Europe on June 23rd 2015 on the European Playstation Store, for the PS3. Suikoden 1-4 are available there, but not 5 or Tactics.

But yeah, it would be nice if 3-5 (plus Tactics) were remastered for modern platforms too.

Also, Suikoden III got one of my favourite female gaming protagonists of all time. Chris Lightfellow is awesome.
