Who has read the Water Margin?

I first became aware of it in the 90s, when my dad showed me the 70s tv series. Much later I discovered it again after reading that the suikoden games were based on it.

It's such a great book, absolutely brutal though.

Who are your favourite characters?

Me, and I love it... I read the english translations. Trully a classic on par with Romance of Three Kingdoms.

I think I prefer Water Margin a little better, but they are both good. One day I'll get round to reading Journey to the West and Dream of red chamber

Great character. It's a shame some of the important WM characters aren't attached to Suikoden characters with equal importance. Shi Jin gets Kirkis & Killey (at least in 1&2, haven't played the others)

I'm surprised the Lin Chong didn't get better characters too. He's presented as the hero most adaptations.
