This could be said for any game that you are trying to 100%
Not really. Plenty of them, especially since about 15-20 years ago-ish, are quite feasible to find everything in in a single playthrough without a guide.

Like the Batman Arkham games, for instance, where (unless you count the City Easter Egg in Asylum, which was essentially a glorified cheat code), literally everything gets added to your map just by finding a few really obvious items or else having badguys literally run up to you glowing green so you know to interrogate them.

Or games that don't have any secrets.

Or games that, you know, don't make stuff missables in the first place.
Yeah, now everyone just Googles everything as they go along.

Those people who say they can get 108 characters without a guide is so funny :)

Only one I often mess up recruiting is Sonya in the first game. The window to grab her is small.
I actually have a detailed guide i made myself, back in the day i was going to publish on Gamefaqs.com. It was fun to make for me anyway, but i never ended up publishing it. It was just Beastiaries for 1&2, that had breakdown of exact xp/gold/itemdrops. I think it's still on an old backup drive i have. I remember existing guides at the time didn't have this info (Official/unofficial guides in print too). But that kind of thing was never deadly important. But it was good resource for me over the years, to know which beasties dropped decent accessories and such pretty early, and were good to farm for cash. Since cash was pretty important for upgrading weapons and such.

if you still have it would you be willing to share it the item drop table that alone would be amazing since like you said you can get some really good stuff sometimes that way that the one thing i wish was posted online i don,t know if its a full table but this is what i used https://www.suikosource.com/games/gs1/guides/bestiary.php sites got a lot of good info for all the games

The recruitment guide, totally. This game had a couple of hard ones to find, but not exactly anything permanent unless you decide you want Gremio to remain spore food.

No one said that. Why do people feel the need to Exaggerate what others have said, even when its written right there.

Its like that Game where you all Sit in a Circle and Whisper in the ear on the one on your Left something and by the time it get back to you its become Warped, but instead everyone can clearly Read what was said from the Start, and yet someone STILL gets it wrong.

The Experiment was meant to show that peoples Memories alter little Details each time it is passed on, to the point its almost something new after it has spread. Problem is Social Media has shown it has little to do with Memory, and shows that People will change these Little Details to fit their own Narrative THEY want to tell.

You no kidding. How do they think we did it when the game first came out?

The Internet existed back then, for starters. As did strategy guides.

Barely, and we still just *gasp* played the game.
So here's the thing. You don't need to look at the guide CONSTANTLY while playing the game, that's exaggerating a bit. However if you seriously mean to tell me all of you managed to 100% the game on either your first time playing the game or any of the subsequent runs without looking a single thing up on a guide, you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ delusional and trolling.

If you just "played the game normally" you did NOT get everything there is to get in the game or recruit all 108 stars which can barely even be considered playing the game as intended since the true endings are locked behind getting every single character and also not getting them killed in war battles. And then there's the million collectibles like recipes, farm items, windows, sound sets...oh there's a little thing called S2 being broken since half the things became unobtainable at points due to massive bugs because Konami ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up and only the fan patch rectified it. I'm assuming you got a hold of that as well without looking it up, eh? Certain characters also become locked out of recruitment at certain points of the story or with picking certain choices so guides prevent that as well.

And what the ♥♥♥♥ is even the point of favoriting a game and loving it so much you look forward to its remaster if you don't care about 100% it? Why are you even here? You clearly don't love the game as much as the rest of us do. So yes, you absolutely need a guide to 100% the game but if you're a casual ♥♥♥♥♥ who plays the game for half an hour once a week then maybe not. Is that where you fit in? :)

Uh...no. Not everyone wants to 100% games, even ones they love. No need to gatekeep 'true fans'.

True, I said before, many character localizations are very cripyt, the deity plans are missable and there's tons of things that you only will find if you know:
a. for what you're looking for
b. where to look for

I played this game a dozen of times and NEVER got one more squirrel than Mokumoku (that I had to look at the internet, because how the hell I would have to guess that I had to press on a random tree for him to appear, or walk with Ryou alone on the map, who does that?).

People played this game a million times, after many playthroughs it's normal to think that the game is easy.
