Can I talk about the PS5 version's framerate for a second? (30FPS)
I know this is the Steam forums but I really wanna bring attention to this (the GameFAQs board is also a ghost town), if not have it fixed, then at least bring any PC-specific woes into perspective.

I own the PS5 version and it's 30FPS. Just straight up 30FPS. No Resolution/Performance toggle in options. Doesn't matter what you do; you can try changing the "Resolution/Performance" option in Game Defaults settings, you can try lowering the video output resolution, it's still 30FPS. (Although the Live2D/menu animations and all that are 60FPS.)

Which for a game like this, really is quite unacceptable IMHO. I'll bet my i5-7500, RTX 2080 + 16GB RAM PC, which is less powerful than a PS5, could run this at 4K60.

this game seems to be maxing out my rtx 2070 so maybe its a port issue, i could have sworn this ran at 60fps on ps4

I don't believe that to be the case (or at least, I don't see any YouTube videos with the game captured from a real PS4 at 60FPS)...

And, no, the game released at the same time in Japan on both PS4 and PS5, so it's entirely on IF/CH

Yep, I noticed that on my PS5 not to mention stuttering and some tearing issues as well, pretty disappointed with it so far, especially consider Nepgear is my best gal.

This is why I avoid consoles as I can't stand 30fps.

I played the JP PS5 version - and honestly: quite surprised.. the Steam Deck can keep the game at 60 FPS in most areas - it baffles me why they locked it to 30 FPS in the 3D areas on the PS5.

It could EASILY handle it at 60 FPS (probably even 1080p120).

Could be optimization issues. For some reason it takes a lot of gpu power during 2D scenes.

For certain series, I always want physical copies and the nep series demands it :P

Other than the map screen having a low fps the game is running smooth for me in and out of fights.

True enough the PS5 version is an inexcusable mess. I compared videos on YT and it seems to be running identically with the PS4. I like the game and i could even live with the 30fps cap (inexcusable as it is on PS5) but the stuttering is really killing my enjoyment.

I would love to say that a patch is coming but considering how long the game has been out in Japan, I would not be counting on it. Massive shame.....

I have a pretty smooth >60fps at 1440p here on a 6700xt.

IF is just absolutely terrible when it comes to optimization, especially on consoles. And they just can not handle "newer" engines at all. They ditched their old engine and switched to Unity. In the wrong hands the engine can absolutely tank your performance for absolutely no reason and look just at 2D scenes in this game. They are more taxing than 3D gameplay. Makes no sense. That being said, I run the game on an ancient 660 TI and it runs at 60fps/900p. I don't like that term, but not offering 60fps on PS5 with these graphics is just lazy. Probably a 1:1 port from the PS4 version with absolutely no enhancements at all.

Funny thing is the ps5 is more powerful than the average steam users PC.
There is no reason why a ps5 can't do 60fps with this low budget looking game, they just couldn't be bothered to make the effort

I'm more confused on why for battles they only have a team of 3 active characters when they could have done 4. all of the systems can handle that with no problem.

Maybe so but this game still could have been a 4 person team so Nepgear, Uni and the twins can all fight together at the same time. Cyberdimension came to mind when thinking about that.
