I don't deserve a reset because some people are willing to use exploits.
Show some willpower and don't use them.
They can, and I am sure will remove the exploit.
The people who have those weapons will soon get bored and retire from the game taking those things with them.
It's pretty sad watching those with these things running around Watch missions but so be it. It's pretty obvious when they have such high gearscores so they can't hide it.
Right now there isn't a great deal of impact on most people in a multiplayer format so who cares.
Maybe they need to create a GM and just hunt down those people and ban them. The items would show up to them if they searched characters for them. Not hard for them to do but a PITA that they should have to. They can revert or just delete items with a gearscore over 286 or whatever the cap is currently.
Just ignore it and move along.
After new big update we will have army of absolutely overpowered players, who found and used every single bug and exploit and they will swallow new content in a couple of hours due to absence of any challenge.
P.S. If they will wipe/reset servers they will lose at least 50% of players.
P.P.S. I made 68m crit damage with my pistol :DDD
Problem is that it's not even an exploit you can choose to do or not do... You, Me, everybody are using it allready.
So we are all using "cheated" weapons that aren't suppose to have those stats.
The only thing you can choose to not do is go even further. The bug was apparently allready reported but partially he didn't really understand how deep that problem was.
Cause he was basically only crafting 1 weapon not going even further.
By the way it's not only on weapons, but on bags, clothes and even some food (need more test to be 100% sure about that last one).
Agree that it might lose some players, but 100% of players will leave if this starts to become the "norm". What's the point to play if everybody OS everything.
As i said everybody is using this allready even if they don't want to.
It's not even only on the weapons, but it's also on armors, bags & even food (have to continue testing for food).
Yeah my friend just did a 193M+ dmg which is just ridiculous. We think that we might be able to make the server crash if we go even further in numbers if we reach unwrittable numbers.
BUt it's early access, ♥♥♥♥ happens.
Honnestly i hope so, depends on the code and where the problem is.
Yeah it's early access but honnestly deeper i go into the game worst it becomes.
To the point i m 100% sure they didn't test anything at all, not even what they implemented.
Augments that aren't working, item limit on a map that bugs, structure limit decision, it's nearly impossible to play with 1 friend on the same map and 2 different base cause of the item limit of 350 (won't even talk about 6 people doing their base own base on the same map), resurrection mecanism between NPC, between players and between NPC & Players that is a total joke and just kill the difficulty of the game, able to go to level 300+ of gear but not a single mob in any difficult reach level 300 so when you are full stuff there's nothing to do... and the list isn't even over...
All the previous problems can be fixed easily with some updates and so on, but this weapon / armors / bags bug is another level.
So yes i know it's Early Access and so on, 75% of games are in Early Access now anyway so it's not a "good reason" anymore.
We can excuse a lots of things like server problems, unfinished gameplay, not enough content... but at some point it's not an Early Access problem, it's that they aren't even testing what they choose to do and even think of the final result.
100% sure they didn't test anything at all, huh? Cool.
You can blame the devs and the game all you want for letting a bug through to EA but I point the finger primarily at the players who use it.
A good number of games will ban people for wilfully using exploits. Maybe think about that before banging on so much about how you used one. Just because they have not (and probably will not) reacted doesn't mean they wont.
It's not as big a drama as you think.
The people most affected will be those that have used it and gotten used to it and then find themselves stuck doing it properly with a peashooter. They will quickly lose interest and leave taking their trash items with them.
Sounds to me like you and your pals found a way to break the game, ruin your own experience and then came here to complain about it. You could have simply did a search and contributed to one of the other dozen threads about this.
Also, this is a co-op single player game. If you want to be a god then be one you aren't hurting anyone but yourself as demonstrated in this very post.
