This game is not fun for new players.
The gameplay is incredibly fun, but this is not fun to play as a newbie who still hasn't unlocked anything/learned characters because there is absolutely always at least one or two people curbstomping/surpassing everyone else INCLUDING ON THEIR OWN TEAM.

I have yet to win a single game because it's that lopsided. I'll take waiting longer for a game I feel like I have a chance with than 10 losses in a row since there's also no match-leaving option. At least make a total newbie matchmaking pool or something, c'mon.

Why do people make posts like this? I don't get it. No game is really new player friendly, just learn the game yourself. Read the abilities, study placement, etc. I was brand new to the game and after some matches, you start to understand. Why do people think they need their hands held in every game? Why can you not watch some Youtube videos and practice abilities in the training map? Honestly, you're LUCKY this game has a training map for you to try EVERY SINGLE character. You have PLENTY of hand holding there.

Well, yeah. Gigantic has a buncha tools to help out a new player, but its also so much to digest for a new player especially if they are new to mobas. That, and comboed with a hard to reach skill floor in a world where people have years of experience because the game was out before and kept alive in private groups creates a very stagnant water "고인물" situation.

I mean, learning gigantic basically first requires knowledge of a shooter, then knowledge of a moba, and then knowledge of a fighting game when you get into the fun parts.

Seriously, competitive melee is easier to learn than competitive gigantic and have you seen that crowd?

That being said. Mmr does exist and is clear as day at peak hours but the problem is because we dont have that many players at other times, and when veteran players join the queue eventually the search gets expanded enough that it finds pretty much anybody.

Ive been telling people to stop playing pubs for a bit till the audience gets better for this reason and went back to scheduling games.

First are you a pro melee player? no?, then don't talk.
"have you seen that crowd?" tell me you have a 62 iq without telling me.
When it comes to noobs, we were all noobs to gaming at one point; we didn't get gud with hand holding. I will say it's easier to get better at games than it has ever been; you have YouTube. things like steam discussions. ranked.
You telling people not to play pubs is only going to hurt said player and make them think they are better than they really are.

I mostly agree with you but you made your point in such a deranged and embarrassing way that all I can do is tell you to please change your stance so i don't have to be associated with you.

"deranged and embarrassing" How so?
1.Pick Ezren Ghal
2.Find a group of ppl.
3.Q them.
3.Left click then right click a bunch.
4.Win.

I mean I ain't a pro melee player but I do got to tourneys and face some people who get pretty darn far in the rankings. I lose a lot, but I feel happy to take 1 or 2 stocks out. I don't think saying that fighting game circles are hard to enter is a bold statement or some kinda hot take. I even quoted a common eastern saying that exemplifies this concern. |고인물|

I don't think it's too crazy to say that gigantic is a complex game that might suffer from a small fanbase if we don't keep the game very welcoming. Telling people to git good is personally... satisfying? or something but I don't think it'd be good for the game in the long term.

Playing in private groups for practice isn't even a bold claim to make either, people have been doing that for years in games. Plenty of moba teams set up game nights to play with each other. I'm not telling the new player to avoid the queue.

Honestly I don't think I've even said anything that isn't common practice or unusual. They aren't even my ideas, they are just what I see other people doing.

I have been trying to learn Voden. The problem is no one else on my team uses my healing pools or takes advantage of my poison.

With Voden either you're landing your shots or you're doing nothing. What is your skill build, are you using one of the default ones?

Of course it's a skill issue. Why should newbies be as skilled as day 1 players? The devs should allow unlockables to be obtained from bot matches at least.

It took 8 hours to unlock all heroes and creatures for me. That's everything effects the gameplay. You can play 1 hour daily for a week then it's all done. This game is beginner friendly when compared to most online games.
