Stuck On Pneuma Chambers

I've been playing through the game to do a video on it. I've been quite enjoying it, but have hit a hard progression wall and I've no idea where to go now.

The Pneuma Chambers just became available to me and my objective is to get to the top of them. However, there's a gate blocking my way into the area and any entrances from other areas that are indicated on the world map are also behind areas I can't get to. I've scoured basically the whole world and haven't found any upgrades or tools I haven't collected yet.

Does anyone know what my next step should be? I'm sure I'm missing something that came obviously to some, but the game is not great about steering you to something you're missing and I don't feel like scrubbing around that chapterless 4 hour video walkthrough someone posted to hopefully find the problem.

yeah i was stuck there too, i think you missed the doorway where the camera immediately pulls far out? You have to activate the lever in the top and the unlock the door from the bottom area, if i recall....

Yep, I was playing just a little while ago and figured out what I was missing. I was just about to come here and delete the thread. :) But glad I found it. I do wish games like this did have something where after you'd been stuck for a while, it could just nudge you in the direction you need to go so you're not aimlessly searching around forever.
