It's an alright game. I had fun playing through it, but man... It's janky. It's still 100% playable, but things are screwy everywhere. Plenty of weird foregroud elements popping in and out, certain secret walls don't break but they do??? It's weird. There are certain parkour challenges near the end that don't seem to take keyboard controls into account, because you need to aim somewhere between the 8 directions that you can aim on keyboard. With all that QA they must have only used controller, which is fair, but still a bit infuriating.
I do commend the game for making the parry mechanic actually powerful, but it doesn't feel like you really need it until you're dealing with enemies that have way too much health. And some enemies have weird hitbox jank, so the parry flash and the timing to actually parry can vary. The game did an amazing job with combat, and every enemy has a unique brutalize animation.
Overall, it's a good game and I recommend it, but I hope that a few patches or something come out first.

This game has some of the worst input registration in the history of video games.

It's just a rage bait game, thats all it is. There is nothing rewarding about this game at all and its not a "lol git gud" situation, its just straight up bulllsshit play. Look at the cover art for the game, thats the literal message to you from the devs. Such a waste of $20. It's maybe worth it on a deeeeeeeep discount but nowhere near $5 much less $20. Go spend your money on a game that is actually fun.

Someone else in the reviews suggested Sundered. I suggest checking that game out instead of this game if you haven't already played it. Sundered is 100x better than this where combat actually does damage.
