I love all the references

Game's lousy with references, all over the place. I've spotted Rick and Morty, Final Fantasy 6 (made me cheer), Cave Story, Hollow Knight (shame on you for this one, fie and shame), pretty sure a Transmepolitan one... Doubtlessly a bunch I don't recognize.

References for days. Super fun spotting them.

I found the Hollow Knight one as well!
So far i've encountered graffiti of Raz's head from Psychonauts (i've made a piece of fan art of CC's Raz cosplaying as Psychonauts' Raz), what i believe is a character from LISA: The Painful, Bill Cipher with his prophecy ring, the logo of some game reviewer, The Legendary Ch_do, some vertical mono-eyed anime/mecha(?) heads in a workshop, posters of
- Some lad with black swirly tattoos around the face
- Some sensual nurse showing a bit of a nipple
- Some cool bald punk lady

And more that i don't recognize either.
With all of these references, it's quite a lot of fun to see what sticks out and what the devs know of.

There's also Slipknot, Tool, Misfits and the more obvious one is Marilyn Manson, for the music references ^^

Another obvious one is Sonic... AHAHAH

And I'm not sure about that, but I think some sounds of ennemies (like the green and slimy villains) are related to the game Comix Zone

It's a reference to the game Metroid, one of the codifiers for the Metroidvania --or rather Castledroid, as lead dev/artist Stefano Guglielmana prefers-- genre. There are statues of precursor aliens known as Chozo that offer new abilities to progress, and are usually seated in that position.

Then there's the word "ch_de" which is a fairly profane word for "penis".

Tank Girl, Aeon Flux and Liquid Television is something i got to think of here too.

The creative total here is absolutely amazing.

So sad that i have to refund tho until all the tech kinks are ironed out. Im pretty patient but im having audio hitches and cutouts almost immediately and sadly im out of the years where i had the time or nerve to find a fix.

I had them the first 5 hours, but after that it was all good :)
But yes it's really annoying !!!
