Why are there no security cameras?
It doesn't make sense that critical or even public areas of the ship don't have security cameras. Some of the cases probably could have been solved in two seconds if Stella had just checked camera footage.

Thats trze, with security cameras, most of the cases could have been solved easily 😊 but we are working against hackers, engineers and programmers. They would have just hacked and deactivated the cameras at the beginning of the game.

Then the game should have explicitly said the security cameras were hacked. Right now it just looks like everyone held the idiot ball and forgot about them.

Thank you for your feedback! We thought about that when we were designing the game and the setting, and we decided that they don't have any security cams on the Zephyr for privacy reasons. The ship is really small, all the people who originally went on board supported the mission and had to do background checks before, and you are caught with each other for the rest of your life, so the criminality rate on the ship is actually super low, which is why cameras were considered an unnecessary intrusion into people's privacy.

@Gitane I think that's a good reason but I'd definitely add a line of dialogue somewhere explaining that reasoning. Maybe that the ethics committee has decided to uphold the ban on security cameras or something?

It's a bit immersion breaking otherwise.
Because this weak scenario would become even weaker. If you want a good adventure play eg. Chants of Sennaar, and don't waste your time with amateurism.
There's a fair bit of ethics committee chatter early in the game, and it would be easy to throw in a line about that. It crossed my mind while playing - that, the various "honor" systems around paper and fertilizer, etc. That all seems antithetical to running a ship on a mission so it's worth noting that these as points of "give" toward privacy and social calmness.
