Why Did They Not Add A Flashlight To The Game ???

Some parts of this game are beyond dark and a flashlight is just a common thing to have in a really really dark game, adds to realism and atmosphere, what a total dumb oversight not putting one in, for a good half an hour i just spent stumbling around in the dark and could not see jack.

While I agree that the game needs a flashlight, I’ve dealt with this by only going out during the day. If it’s night I’ve found a bed and slept for 6 hours. The interior spaces have all been at least tolerably lit, it’s only outdoors that’s pitch black.

Hey, I still have no idea why the Master Chief doesn't have night vision in the Halo games, which makes no sense, to me. They gave to the Spartan you play in Halo Reach, which is set BEFORE Halo CE, and to the ODST troops in...ODST....

What areas have you not been able to see in?

What areas have you not been able to see in?

It is only in parts like where you go into the wilds on some planets and there are no houses or street bits around, it gets dark as hell then, i even found in one of the expansions a mining helmet with torch, notice in the description it actually states "With Torch" but when you put it on and look at yourself the torch is then removed !!!!!. Putting it on actually removes the big lamp bit from the front entirely.

I have not encountered that issue at all in the wilds. How did you set up the brightness settings at the start of the game?

I play at 35% Gamma and I've never felt like I need a flashlight. Maybe your monitor brightness is too low?

The sun just went down while I was exploring... I can't see a damn thing... All I can find are people saying "just turn up the gamma". Is that really the best option? The game gets an entire overhaul deserving a re-release, and nobody thought to add a freaking flashlight?!
