Mod support?

I know of a few reshade mods but the mods for the original haven't been ported to SCE yet.
And, I don't know that they will be. That's up to the mod authors.
You could always do it yourself.

It's an Unreal engine 4 game. So can be easily modded. Not sure if anyone has yet. Don't know if I will yet. Game doesn't have much depth, so not really worth effort to mod. Other than maybe some better meshes or textures. Obsidian did this game, they also started the FO series. So visually very much in line with FO 3 or NV.

you can always just check nexus mods...
Type the game name, and "nexus mods" if it supports mods itll be on there.

But yes the game supports mods. Theyre generally not super indepth. Its either state changes, or like cosmetic. I didnt look too deep though, I usually check to see if theres mods to make it harder.

And no it does not disable achievements.

It's literally the same game, just slightly updated in what version of Unreal Engine it uses. There are a few, maybe only one, mod author that's "working on" updating their mods. Might wanna take a look at Nexus if you haven't already, find a mod you like and message the author to see if they would be willing to update their mod. Or you can join the TOW modding discord and learn how to update them yourself.

there are several mods for the Space Choice edition on Nexus Mods. I have only downloaded a few and they work well:

Companion Perk at Every Level
Jenna Upgrade (Space choice version)
Map zoom range increases & map retextures
Supernova patch updated (save, fast travel and disable death companion)

The mods I tried from Nexus do not work and are abandoned ... I tried 2 simple mods for the Spacer's Choice edition (Carry Weight and Better ADA Portrait) ... NOPE!

Both Increased Carry Weight Perk and No More Durability worked fine for me - just quality of life. Achievements still work too.

they do work.. just put then in Indiana/content/paks folder and add "zzz_" in front of each mods name.
Rename them like this:
zzz_tinkercost1bit(.)pak
zzz_No More Durability(.)pak

I use only 1 mod and that is "activated" by creating a new ini.file with notepad++ and copy-pasting the content. All the other things I added were all done by ini.file changes
