You become overpowered quite early in the game and since there is a level cap that you will likely not even need to hit to max all stats in your first play through, the new game plus would make for zero challenge.
I suppose the only way a new game+ would work in this game is if the enemies, gear, and levels of everything in the game had no cap.
For a fun replay, simply replay the game again on hard difficulty, or Supernova.
The survival aspect goes well with this game since the maps are not very big.
Just, avoid this version of The Outer Worlds and stick with the original if this is your first run.
