Keeps freezing on steam deck.

It keeps freezing the entire steam deck and has to restart. Also had massive slowdowns. Any tricks to running this on steam deck?

I've gotten nothing but crashes with even all the settings on low, locked to 30FPS etc. If there's a trick to getting this game not to crash and make your deck restart, I haven't found it.

Think I figured it out. Go to game compatibility and set to Proton 8.0-2. Hasn't crashed now after an hour. And yes, it says playable on Steam Deck.

I've put in 112 minutes so far on my Deck, and it hasn't crashed a single time. Graphics are lacking, but performance is fine.

Playing on High settings with 30FPS cap and FSR and have no issue. Sometimes drops to 27-28 FPS but its demanding game. But never have crashes. Are you using cryo on deck?

I was having the stutters too at first.. then I realized I forgot to turn off DoF.. that and motion blur are two things I've always HATED with a passion in 99% of games.. they shouldn't impact performance, but they really do, and sometimes BAD..
Only thing I find worse than those is the god awful film grain garbage. (makes sense if your viewing through a camera or something.. but for most games.. that isn't how they're presented so its just an unnecessary blur to hide things)

This seems to work on Groundbreaker where every conversation was crashing my game.

use latest ProthonGE 8-6 and no crashes. Playing 30h and no single crash...

What setting and what fps do you get? Would it be better just to be the original?

I play on Medium/High with 30FPS cap on Deck for better battery, but is possible get almost stable 60 FPS on low
