How much better are the DLC's compared to the base game?
I kinda wanna give this game another go since i didn't get very far (maybe to like the 3rd area you travel to during the story) and i remember getting the impression that the game felt kinda bland, im really not sure why but it could be because id dint get far enough into the story.

But how much better are the DLC's

I'd say you're gut instinct is probably correct, and no amount of DLC will transform this game into something you'd enjoy if such a thing is required for you to enjoy it.

Yeah this was a huge L of a purchase on my behalf :/ Which sucks because i love Obsidian games, Even Tyranny i really liked but this....this game is just lifeless and bland. its not bad but its not particularly good either. The dialogue is really good, just like OG Fallout games but other then that the game falls flat.

Hell, Even in Fallout 2 with pre rendered graphics, The environments felt more alive and the combat, even though it was turned based was WAY more compelling imo then what we have in the outer worlds with its recycled enemies and the same 4 weapons for 20 lvls. And i only compare the two because Timothy Cain worked on the outer worlds, he was the director actually and im a HUGE fan of his games.

He worked on Arcanum and Pillers and Fallout 1-2 so its shocking how bland and lifeless the outer worlds felt.
