Save transfer is possible.

Simply copy them from "Saved Games" > "Outer Worlds"

to

"Saved Games" > "Outer Worlds Spacer's Choice Edition"

and you can continue your journey. It definitely works,

Now, I have no idea if this breaks anything. I haven't tested it for more than 30 minutes so far.

It's interesting that there's no save file transfer option. Started the game only to find that I had to start a brand new game.

At first this didn't work : The saved games of my old game were not recognized as it seems. What I did was:
I created a savegame in the new version of the game
I opened the windows folder of the old game (c:\user\SavedGames\The Outer Worlds\
I copied AutoSave00, AutoSave01 and AutoSave02
I opened the windows folder (c:\user\SavedGames\The Outer Worlds Spacers Choice\
And there I opened the folder of my new saved game (the folder with a weird name)
There I replaced the AutoSave00, 01 and 02

It worked!

My original Steam saves were in:
C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\The Outer Worlds

Spacer's Choice saves went in:
C:\Users\<username>\Saved Games\The Outer Worlds Spacers Choice\<steam ID>

I started the SC edition first, let it generate the folders and noticed it created the Steam ID folder in there, so that's where I dropped my saves and it worked. I figure that might be an issue for some people if they copied their saves into just the \...Spacers Choice\ folder.

I also didn't copy Achievement.dat or steam_autocloud.vdf files.

sweet, I started when it came out on Epic.

I was able to load my save, but my attributes went wonky. My save originally had all attributes at "Good" but when I loaded it here, three of them got knocked down to "Average". And there's no way to permanently change attributes, even with the console.

Yup, was able to manually transfer my saves just fine.
I'll report here when I run into issues with the save.

No, players will still have access to the original game as well as their original save files, but old save files will not transfer over to The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition

Strange because all mine instantly transferred over.

Don’t seems to work with the version from the Windows Store. (At least not on MY computer.)

And yes, I know this is Steam forums, but since this thread is the first answer when you search if the saves are compatible, I believed I should report it.
