I mean, PC gamers don't like to hear it but that's really not true. It's hard to be totally sure but Steam stats show us that the vast VAST majority of PCs are not at all "more powerful" than a PS5.
That's before things like the custom SSD controller in the PS5 are brought into the equation, giving the PS5 SSD speeds far greater than anything a Windows PC can manage (DirectStorage helps but it's not totally comparable).
The PS5 custom SSD controller was genuine next gen stuff, Ratchet and Clank Rifts Apart wouldn't be possible on a PC in the same way it is on a PS5.
All that said the user you're replying to was likely referring to the fact that most console releases are more stable than PC ports currently.
I hate to say it but this really is looking like a lazy cash grab to me on PS5 and Xbox Series X. The PC version didn't really need a remaster at all and the quality of life improvements (if there are any) could easily have been patched into the PC version... for free! Selling this mess on PC, at any price, is insulting, especially when the Steam page boasts "improved performance"!!! I mean... c'mon... that's a blatant lie, right there!
Seriously, if you are going to sell a remastered game at a price then at least put some effort into it to ensure it works properly!!! The PC version is bad enough but there really is no excuse for the console versions running so poorly as they have FIXED hardware. This is a four year old game, right, and no-one expects a remaster to run worse.
Yeah this is 100% a cash grab.
Unfortunately all I saw was a PS5 upgrade for one of my all time favorite games so I bought it no questions.
Every other game that has gotten the PS5-XBOX X/S upgrade has been much better or at a minimum a steady 60-120 FPS in performance mode.
Also lately games have come out with close to near perfect optimization on the consoles so I have been buying most games there first. But with this one as soon as you could move after the drop pod lands I could already tell I was never going to get a steady 60 and the most I have gotten was a steady 30.
So like I said before Fool me once. I have no interest in also "upgrading" my PC version.
