I mean seriously after what feels like months of delays, It was set to release on DEC 21st of THIS year now the release date is coming soon.

shoot I've had it wishlisted for 2.5 years. It has more previews than it did at that time and the video is also new, I think. It's been so long I keep forgetting this game even exists.

The lack of public-facing communication here is pretty inexcusable. The supposed release date came and went a month ago without comment. No explanations on their website or social media feeds, they're just talking about their new Christmas animations. The last progress update was in July. If the game is delayed, it's delayed, whatever, but I would at least like to know what's going on. I shouldn't have to rely on vague rumors that the devs said this or that on Patreon or Discord.

Glad they're doing that, but it would be nice if that information was available publicly. As far as I can tell, none of those updates are making it to their Twitter, their Bluesky, their Patreon, this Steam page, or their official website. If things are happening to put the status of the game in question (such as missing a projected release date), I don't think it's fair to expect people to join a walled garden for any kind of communication.

I bet it won't ever come out. Their previous release dates were missed and now they don't even have one listed. I was going to buy this right when it released but now I'm going to wait for a good sale. I've done my waiting(and will continue to do so) When it comes out the devs and publisher will need to wait to get my money.

From what i have gathered by lurking on the discord server for the developers its most likely going to be a March 2025 Launch.

Its really stupid that most of this info is within a discord server and its mostly just messages posted within general chat when the main dev is responding to questions about when the game is coming out.

Last development progress post was in November 2024 and all messages after that in the announcements chat are regarding things that are tied to the game but not directly focused on the core game.

The main reasoning for this is because of the publisher related delays.

Direct Quote from the main dev on the November post:
"Voice acting has been held up by script issues and various other delays out of my control right now.

Translations for DSB will start next year once Critical Bliss's translation team is available."

Silver lining, at least they aren't putting the game up for pre-order. So it's not like people are wasting money with the delayed release dates.

steam never pushed back the release, dev just was never finished

well good news the final prep is going down so around the start of Q2 due to steam and some dev problems with the team

from what I've heard it should be done in may the dev said he's 99% done just needs to get some Voice actor clips and some bugs worked out
