Both have solo modes and are highly themstic experiences. Although I must say the not knowing if you can trust the other players or if theyll backstab you adds quite an additional layer to the game 👌 but ive played dozens of solo games, both physically aswell as digitally and can only recommend :)
played them both many times..a great experience ..think ridley in alien movie towards the end when it was just her vs the alien...thats a simlar thing.
I never understood how people can play board games alone. I have played the main board game many times, and I couldn't see it being something enjoyable solo.
Well it seems clear that, despite your lack of understanding, some people do :-)
It is fortunate that your understanding is not required for our enjoyment.
That sounds awesome.
But have you ever tried it? Not saying you'll like it but you might. Only one way to know for sure.
Personally, I prefer playing boardgames with others but will occasionally play by myself if I really want to play a game and don't have anyone to play with. I am the exact opposite with video games.
Also, some boardgames are better solo than others. There are even a few that I prefer solo, for example Mage Knight. I haven't tried either Nemesis game solo but suspect I'd greatly prefer them with others. Hopefully the experience in the PC implementation will rival the cardboard one and I'll get this one "to the table" much more frequently.
Shy introverts with social anxiety disorder are shaking their heads at you :P
Really no different from playing a singleplayer game on PC.
The solo is more or less just playing the multiplayer with only a single character. Good for exploring mechanics, less great for everything else.
onehanded solo is the standard solo variant. that one is fully implemented and works!
Nemesis also has co-op only objectives that are designed at a higher challenge level because they remove the uncertainty of traitors and instead task you with fufilling multiple objectives as a team.
Which would be what would function as a playable solo mode that actually has legs.
🤣 Nailed it! Consider me one of those!
As a new player to the game I found my first solo experience to be a mixed bag. I had fun, but I had to alt tab and look at the pdf rulebook because I didn’t have a full understanding of the game. The in-game tutorial and wiki feels incomplete.
For what it’s worth, here’s my full playthrough so you can see the flow of play.
