You'll have a story mode that hearkens back to No Mercy, meaning it's short but has branching and lots of unlockables. You'll have exhibition matches. You'll have mini-games (which, I'm not sure what classic wrestling games they were playing that made them want to include those but... okay. And they're largely optional so that's fine if you we don't enjoy them lol.) You'll have online multiplayer matches.
You'll have CAW, albeit very limited compared to the 2K games (again, much like the older wrestling games.) No online community creations that we know of, so back to old school formula sharing. And you'll have create-an-arena though, again, limited compared to more modern games.
No Universe mode, create-a-show, GM mode, no backstage areas, and entrances are about 7 seconds long.
The game is intentionally limited in modes, but wants us to be able to easily pick it up and play it, and for the story mode and unlockables via the in-game shop to be the meat and potatoes and replay value of the game. Again, much like classic wrestling games were.
If that's not your cup of tea, it won't satisfy you. Go into it aware of those caveats.
"Intentionally"
God, you marks try your hardest to do mental gymnastics to excuse stuff that should be in a full price wrestling game in 2023. This isn't an independent developer creating the game on a shoestring budget, this a developer who has developed wrestling games for WCW and WWE for over 20 years with a well known publisher. The wrestling company is owned by an owner with pretty much unlimited funds.
You can have a gameplay style that is a callback to No Mercy/WM2000/WCW vs The World/etc and still add modern video game modes that wasn't capable in console wrestling video games 25 years ago. No Mercy didn't have exploding barbwire death matches and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mini-games, but they felt like those were needed more than a mode that can add a ton of replay ability.
I was just answering OP's question. I want people to go into the game knowing what is and isn't present in it. As stated, "If that's not your cup of tea, it won't satisfy you. Go into it aware of those caveats." Just like I keep telling people if they expect this game to play anything like No Mercy mechanically, they'll also be disappointed.
