You can't. It is, just like the game's Store page states, a "turn-based RPG with real-time mechanics" (referring to dodges and parries).

You get exactly that. No way around it.

All good, I thought I had missed something! Thanks for the heads up prior to purchasing.

Seems like a really cool game, turn based just isnt for me. I wanted to make sure I didn't miss something simple that would allow me to enjoy it as well.

Gotcha. I got a little confused by the "real time mechanics" and thought there may be a way to switch between combat styles like older games have had in the past.

You're definitely missing out if this is a deal-breaker for you. There's a very high action-foundation to the combat that's engaging and real-time, and this does not feel like any turn-based game you've ever tried before.
