It's not an easy game, especially at the start. It's slightly easier than a from software game, which is still difficult enough to make some people cry about difficulty

If you take your time do all the side content and set it at an appropriate difficulty it is easily a 60+ hour game

I don't own the game yet and my thought is that it appears to be the most hyped game of all time.

So people who praise it seem kind of crazy like it's the mindless masses gone wild or something.

To double down, it's hard to distinguish if this is mass hysteria, like a popularity contest or the game is actually that good.

Basically, I don't want to buy only to realize people just went a little nuts.

If you are really good, don’t grind and rush to the end skipping any optional content then it’s about 20h game. Most people don’t play like that however.
It took me 30h to finish on normal and from what I’ve heard people usually finish it in 35-40h.
It’s probably about 50-80h to 100% the game and it still has some replayability value with NG+.

If you're doing side content its easily gonna do get tou yo 50-70 hours depending on the difficulty.

33 hours so far, just got into act 3. granted i've done some backtracking and wandering about. haven't sunk too much time into the beaches yet.

Prologue is around 1-hour long and sets the tone like no other, so if you're gonna be paranoid about what everyone agrees on, just buy, play the prologue, and refund if it's somehow bad
