Gamebreakers - New Maelle Build to One Shot Simon Post-nerf?

Hey guys,

I was trying to hit 99 before defeating Simon and now with that nerf, they basically took all the wind out of my sails. I dont see myself being able to dodge his crazy attacks in Phase 2, so I am looking for a brave nerd here who already found a new Maelle Setup to one shot him.

Is it still possible? Anyone got a Setup to share?

Yeah, but in NG+ you get tons of free Lumina. So just play through it again and you are good

Nah its fine. I completed pretty much everything anyways aside from missing 1 Monoco skill (somewhere) and the only up Gestral beach mini-game.

Good luck with the grind. Even at 450 Lumina Points my Maelle couldn't use everything I wanted her to have.

Remember, you can go back to the gestrelle village and turn in your journals for a bunch of Lumina.
If you have let all the white nevrons live, you can get another 100 Colour of Lumina from one of them.

His setup can be optimized even more because he doesn't have mark. If you have double mark, shoot until you have mark and then radiant slash. You might have some extra ap remaining but probably worth. Not like it really needs to be optimized more because it's already a one shot, but anyways...

The setup has mark on break.
So when Verso hits the target with Radient Slash, it is stunned, defenseless and marked

All achievements is not 100%.
I’ve got all achievements with missing plenty of weapons, pictos, flask upgrades. I even missed whole locations and few merchants. Plenty of mini bosses.

Yeah that is true. I was initially going into NG+ and collecting everything because I enjoyed the game a lot. But the endings killed my excitement.

Yeah that is true. I was initially going into NG+ and collecting everything because I enjoyed the game a lot. But the endings killed my excitement.

I love the gameplay way too much. To me its like FF10 - The Ending is dog***, but the Endgame CONTENT is so fun, that I play it all couple years again lol

Just did it in about 6 tries / 30 min of thinking + inventory fiddling
- Sciel First Strike : Buff Maelle with "double damage next turn"
- Sciel Cheater : Our Sacrifice to bring Maelle to 1 HP for Picto buffs
- Monoco First Strike : Grosse Tete to apply Defenceless on Simon
- Mono Cheater : Ping the boss to proc Burn + Mark
- Maelle First Strike : GGWP see you in the next life

Am sure there's better, just what worked for me ( team level 88 )
Had to apply every single dmg buff Picto I could find, but it worked
Good thing they nerfed Maelle, would have deleted him first try otherwise

Setup I used was fairly similar to this, except instead of using Our Sacrifice I just went into the fight with Maelle at 1HP already, used Sciel's second turn to put Defenseless on Simon with a Base Attack using whatever Picto it is that does that, then used Verso to do free aim shots for Burn+Mark stack and skipped the rest of his turn once they were up. Can really do that with any character, so then don't need to waste any time farming the Lumina for anyone specific that way if you haven't already been building your Monaco + don't need Cheater on anyone except Sciel. Maelle part the same obv.

Make sure you adjust your party order so that the members are from left to right during battle: Maelle, Verso, Sciel
Basically, remove everyone from the party but Maelle, then add Verso and then Sciel

Maelle uses Last Chance twice.
Verso free aims all his AP into Simon then attacks.
Again free aim shoot until you have 2 AP left and use Radient Slash
Sciel uses Fortune's Fury and then Intervention, both on Maelle.
Maelle uses Gommage.
Victory.

Add Roulette on Maelle for potentially bigger numbers.

Even Stendhal kills easily with this setup

Take a close look at Verso's Luminas.
He gets gradient charge from a bunch of things.
Applying burn (Burning Shots), applying buffs (Accelerating Shots), criting, base attack (Combo Attack I, II and III), hitting a marked target (Marking Shots) and breaking the boss.

You can still do over a billion damage 1 shot gommage. Set sciel has support and verso also as support with the weapon that gives perfection damage to allies instead of himself. Have sciel auto death/Rez giving all the on death buffs and power up verso to S rank while building gradient on a stunned target.

There is no need for billion damage unless somebody goes for a record. It takes too much time when even Simon has only 50mln HP what can be executed in the very first round with solo Maelle. Few seconds fight.
Cheater + second chance picto guarantees 4 turns so no need for a perfect build.
