Dualiso weaker than its hype?

Anyone in Endgame who thinks that Dualiso for Verso isnt as good as people say it is?
I feel like, at this point, all I do is free aim shot until Rank S and at 2 AP, use Follow Up. I can do this twice - And deal millions of damage easily, but I use Cheater.

If I use Dualiso, I dont want to use Cheater, and instead use the 40 Lumina better (because I basically "waste" Dualisos Reason to exist if I use Cheater with it). However, with Dualiso I am FORCED to use a Base Attack on his Turn 1, which means no Follow Up (And thus, Millions of Damage lost)

Also, Dualiso being Lightning Damage means that theres Nevrons or Bosses I might actually HEAL with hits, which is DEVASTATING in difficult fights (rendering a character completely useless).

Do I miss something? Is Dualiso not as good as people say? Whats his "best" Weapon for a good Endgame Follow Up Build?

You're wanting to do the most damage as Verso or as a party? I don't know his best weapon for him as the dmg dealer, but it's probably Simon's Sword. Your moves will do double dmg, so Steeled Strike becomes a few million dmg. I forget the real name.

As for doing the most dmg possible overall, meaning with Maelle, it's the one that distributes his power from his rank to his party members. Starts with an S, looks like a statue kind of. He becomes a support role used to break, burn, mark, and defenceless.

Bltzz on Youtube has a video about it, he shows the pictos and weapons used. It's Sciel, Verso, Maelle. Sciel has a move that doubles Maelles dmg, Verso uses Auto Death and revive and the pictos that add burn, full break bar, defenceless, mark and maybe something else. Maelle uses Enhhilda (something like that lmao) and blows up everything in one hit. Literally everything.

I havent tried those builds, but I assume people say its a good weapon because they either dont have Cheater, dont want to spend the points on it, or dont understand that the 'play again' mechanic doesnt stack.

Imo a weapon with physical damage makes more sense (if you got the Pictos that converts physical to void damage.. forget where its from tho)

Dualiso is good until you have cheater. There's no point using dualiso after cheater. His best weapon is whatever gives him a billion % on burn, but a lot of weapons are just busted on him. I personally use the Tireso mostly for the mems

The situation I am in right now is, my Maelle isnt really the Damage Dealer for now. I unfortunately messed up on getting her Medalum and still struggling with Golgra to get it in postgame. Verso is my damage dealer, so I want to use the lvl33 Material that is hard to come by in Endgame for a good Verso Weapon (As he can easily follow up into 3+ Million Damage right now). While looking for the perfect Weapon, I found everyone hyping Dualiso, which I dont see as the best choice to go with.

I will just take a Physical one that seems to do "well" enough statswise then, thanks all.

Contorso is fun. You get it from a mob somewhere. It adds a bunch of burn per auto attack. Stack with the combo pictos and you do mad dmg. Maelle has a fire tree and gets another fire based move after Act 2 that can do insane dmg without Medalum. Mobs drops weapons so try to fight everything you can. Look at Sciel's tree for the double dmg move and intervention.

I dont use Sciel - I dont like her playstyle at all. I use Lune as my Breaker and Heal/Buffer. She can do insane stuff with her healing, and nobody needs 3 damage dealers. But I see why people use her.

I tried to completely move on from ANY elemental damage, so while I used burn for most of the game, at this point I just use it as a 1-4 stack debuff I want to keep on because it synergizes with other damage buffs. I want to go FULL pure damage , and Free Aim seems , right now, to be the best way to achieve that. Might change my opinion during New Game + at some point though.

Dualiso was great for me until I've got Cheater, then it's become redundant, considering it also has lower damage for the sake of having this 2nd turn.
And because Dualiso and Cheater do not stack, we don't need it anymore after that point.
Afterwards, it's Blodam, Corpeso or Confuso depending on what you want to do, or of course Simoso. Sure there are some other choices, like the mentioned above Contorso, which seems fun, just test things out and see what play style you like the most I guess.

Another way of getting "Play again" to proc that works with you having Cheater on, is to use Overload with Shortcut picto equipped, but that of course depends how you play your Verso.
Shortcut also works with Monoco's Cultist Blood and Maelle's Last Chance

Yea I would just play it out however you want frankly. I didn't start to max stuff until after I beat it and it was more fun doing it my own way. They all seem possible and it made it a bunch of fun to switch it up. Sciel isn't great except for maxing Maelle's dmg, which is by FAR the craziest in the end game. Don't worry about it though, Id do what you're doing now, and then figure it out for end game. She literally one shots everything at a certain point, and I mean even the hardest boss in the game, Simon for reference. Shoudn't spoil anything with just his name.

Dualiso is objectively weak due to the damage it provides being lower than every other weapon. It loses its strength the moment you can get bonus turns easily from other sources.
