It's a very carefully balanced game, you can't do anything crazy like that!

perfectly balanced game.
Have you tried the weapon that makes Vestos rank stop giving him a damage buff and give it to the team instead? Then use scyth girls turn boost on him and get him to rank S

nice idea ill give it a try later
a mod unlocks the cap: you can go with 99000 a hit or 999000 a hit, it's not fixed, this is the theorical maximum based on your stats...9999 cap is dumb, especially when bosses have billions of hp

wouldnt that just encourage multi hits and not solve the problem?

Why use a mod, when the game unlock this as a trait?
The problem is thinking that this game needs to be inherently balanced in a neat way like other games you're used to. You could easily break JRPGs of the past as well.....it's just a staple of old school game design which is cool. You don't have to partake....the same way you don't have to do absolutely everything to experience the ending. The main story content is very doable without breaking balance.

i mean you can break most RPGs, like nearly all tbh, the problem here i think, is how egregious it gets and how quickly you can do it, and the degree in which you can trivialise the game so quickly.

I felt like most of the time spent with this game was me playing normally....only once you get to act 3 is when you either get on board the power train or just finish out the main story, forgoing the insane optional bosses with billions of HP.

i don't see the problem: use Monoco with cheater+double attack+POTIER ENERGY giving 2-3 ap to all group+GLAISE EARTHQUAKESx2, than i go with Maelle SWORD BALLET and Siel TWILIGHT DANCE..i'm grinding in frozen heart and i kill the mobs without even letting them attack this way

Yeh i broke it in late act 1 early act 2 because i got cheater the moment i could swim and things like medias res, and various other shield generators and you can brute force certain content, beyond that just running past everything and grabbing strong pictos is a good strat, you can get very op as early as act 2 start.
