Devs plz either nerf the minigame or just delete it

Your game is not design for those kind of inputs, especially in volleyball, for the last guy, i cannot see half of those damn balls and a lot of times I pressed the hit button it is just not doing anything, whoever design this, stop it

They were specifically designed this way so that they remind you of all other minigames in JRPGs.

volleyball has constant intervals.

try not to do anything and only count the seconds and get an idea.

you've to stand at the front and can even shoot at 25 degree at those approaching from the side, you hardly need to move

didn't like the minigames, but doable with k&m, bad with controller, at least in my case

The volleyball is not that hard at all, you have to stay at the edge of the platform to "parry" the incoming "balls" at bit in advance, that's all... it took me 3 tries in the hardest mode... and anyway it's just an OPTIONAL mini game that rewards nothing needed gameplay wise... that was the intent of the dev (he said it's good to hate some minigames, his inspiration was the insane minigames in FF10 (thunder dodge and the chocobo race).
There is a cooldown when you attack, it's the same in the overworld... I don't get why people don't get this and say it's bugged

Some mini games have mods that can make them easier if you have trouble.

Yea took a few tries, but trick is stand in front and just rotate left/front/right 45 degree. Watch when the ball are released and direction from the big guy but not when they hit you. Once it gets into rythm its easy.

I don't like the volleyball game (the other games weren't a problem), but if even someone like me who struggle to aim with a controller can do it (being a M/K player mostly for the last 20+ years) and was therefore regularly missing the incoming Jestrals simply because the angle I imputed was off like like 10 degree, a problem that I'm pretty sure peoples used to aim with a controller will not have) after a few dozens of minutes worth of tries, then most people should be able to do it quite a bit faster than that.

Appreciated your comments, I am going to wait for a mod to fix it, it is mostly the key not responding proprely when i press it that angers me the most, I decide to drop this for now so that it doesn't ruin my good impression on this game

supposedly the director himself created the game and based it off the mini games in ffx. it’s “jank” by design.

it’s definitely beatable i think volleyball took me 20 minutes. if you want a legit tip, stand at the front in the very middle and just turn your character left to right. parry a bit earlier than you think you need to. if i can beat gestral games anyone can.

I had found that the climbing challenge was worse of them all as I found that my character would not grab on to ledges when they should have. So what happened was that I kept falling and failing that challenge.

the volleyball one took me quite alot of tries but i got it in the end by luck i think towards the last part the guy keep shooting in 1 direction lol

Absolutely not. That minigame is absolute crap but I WILL beat it. I managed to get the bastard down to 1 HP. I will beat him. Don't you DARE nerf this minigame before I get my runback. I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED BY A DUMB, LITERAL SACK OF POTATOES ON A RAFT!!!!!
