Game needs a mini-map
I know the developers intentionally did not include a mini-map, but for me it's definitely annoying not having one. Am I alone in this experience?

a normal map or like an overlay map would help me more then just a mini-map. also markers or completion indicators for the overworld map would also be helpful

A mini map and markers for the overworld would be great. A bit annoying to have to open and close the map while exploring

Maybe there will be a mod that adds a map and/or mini-map.
I don't care if it's a map in a menu, a mini map, or a map printed on Esquie's butt, but this game desperately needs one.

lol
Yep, I missed a minimap too, even a overlay would be fine. I know that they wanted it clean, but they could put a button to enable for those that can't find anything(me).

It's fine without minimap, it forces you to explore a bit

You are entitled to your opinion, but I find the lack of a map/mini-map unduly annoying and a bad decision made by the developers.
You're not alone. IMO a blunder by the devs.

Yup. Map and mini-map are obligatory here.
And it's also just a common sense. Now we have not an Expedition that carefully explores unknown lands, taking notes, marking and categorizing everything (and drawing maps of course) but a whole party of LEEEEROY JENKINSes.

Exactly. How did people survive in older RPGs with no maps and limited internet lol.

It's honestly so easy to move around, a map isn't needed. Follow the lanterns/lit up paths for main objectives, follow dark/hidden paths for treasures and optional bosses.

Imagine that, a game where you actually need to use your brain for once.

It's a design choice. And one that's very welcomed.

I don't want a mini map. I love the feeling of finding hidden paths

Any map please. Both ideally.

I'm glad the game has no maps inside the regions, it really makes you absorb the scenery more, and also makes you rely on landmarks to know where you've been. It's a design decision I stand by. I'm sure there will a way to mod in one though for those who want one.

agree

Maybe I'm just unusually good at mental mapping (unlikely though), but I never felt like I NEEDED a map. The critical path is usually well telegraphed, and the secret paths are fun to find (and would be spoiled by a map). Granted, Ancient Sanctuary can be confusing, but that's the whole gimmick of that area, it's like Lost Woods in Zelda.

If there was a mini-map or an overlay map that's what you'd be staring at for the whole game instead of enjoying the beautiful vistas and exploration.
