Then, a little ways down the line at your first camp, Gustav gets emotional again literally saying "♥♥♥♥ the mission" because he's getting all emotional again until Lune lays out the logical facts of the situation and talks him out of it.

Lune is nearly autistic, being super logical and suppressing her feelings are her thing.

And if you think emotions are woke, especially after basically everyone died and he still is in a high stress situation, you got problems on your own.

In a word, because it is successful and massively popular. That seems to be the criteria for wokeness after kneejerk reactions don't play out the way they hoped. If things that 'go woke' don't 'go broke', simply declare the thing not woke anymore. (See: Baldur's Gate 3.)

He is losing the love of his life, and rigth afterwards, everything goes to sh@t , why shouldnt get emotional?? The game is not woke, period. Everyone can have weak moments. This is very good story writing and we dont need to check every detail from the woke aspect. Seriously I didnt even think about going into that direction. And he is the hero at the end of act 1

Woke is when they put activism and preaching ahead of character design, story and game design.

Well the truth is, it's not. But it is one of the most common accusations of wokeness that you can find. When some of us are calling things in this game "woke" we're using (and should probably type) the phrase with air-quotes around it.

"This is what they consider woke, so why are they ignoring it and giving it a pass. Or more importantly, why are other games not given the same consideration."

The most likely reason is that, like those games they call woke, they never bothered playing it and consider the game not woke the same way they declare other games woke. The only constant being a lack of any personal experience or insight.

You look at games like Intergalactic which has been declared a woke landmine doomed to failure solely due the female lead being bald and having a rough/roguish attitude and all they have is a couple minutes of trailer footage. But somehow they don't see the blinding examples of things that consider woke in Clair Obscur, because at the end of the day they are insincere and lie through their teeth by parroting the same misinformation that can't be bothered to verify.

Lune is written as a character, not a woman. She's tight-laced, of strict parenting, and obsessed with protocol, not "strong wahmen". While Gustave is still processing the whole prologue thing and a much more social person, thus more affected by the entire squad massacre.

The rest is you reading into things however you please. You say "Gustave then gets emotional saying "♥♥♥♥ the mission", you could've just as well said the game was patriarcal because "Gustave gets violent and can emancipate himself from the rules while the woman is still trying to obey".

It's fine to fight against wokeism, as it is obviously a poison, but if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you. No point in obsessing trying to find left-wing politics even when they aren't there, unless you want to become the exact type of person you hate.
