I am a moron (pumping points in the wrong stats) and great game!
Been pumping stats in the secondary and tertiary weapon scaling stats. Correct that and I do so much more damage :steamsalty:.

Seriously, it can be a little confusing as the primary stat doesn't show on the weapon while the other two are.

Still awesome game. Well done devs

I did a fairly balanced stat build on every character, while some get more might while another gets more luck. Haven't once paid attention to the scaling (since you change weapons fairly often anyways). May wait until I'm doing all optional bosses before making an actual build.

I think he means he was putting his points into the scaling attributes for the weapon he was using (for example, if a weapon has ``vitality B defense C" it means it scales weakly with defense and moderately with vitality) instead of putting them into might. Might will always increase your attack power significantly while these scaling attributes would increase it significantly less (unless you have an S rating).
But of course, you also get the benefit of the actual attribute increase. For the above example, increasing vitality would increase your attack power more slowly than increasing might, but you will also get more health, while might gives you nothing except for attack power.

It's not a bad strategy to boost the stats the weapon wants. Even the crit stat can get a boost from pumping those. So it's not always better to just pump might.

Also, speed can kill, so being the slowest person with the biggest still can leave you with dead people before you get a chance to do anything.

Yeah, this. I (almost) completely ignored might and it's the primary attribute for scaling. Now that I distributed it more evenly across the 3 it's night and day how much more damage I do.

For reference, I had like 10 in might at level 35 and I was struggling to do decent damage. Hence I am a moron lol

No matter what your might is (unless you sink every point into it), the most important thing for damage is the level of your weapon. Most of your damage will come from that, while Pictos and Lumina are secondary. Attribute points are relatively weak compared to everything else, but help to fill in holes that arise from everything else you have gone with.
