YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PARRY TO WIN FIGHTS
I'm sure we've all heard of a risk reward mechanic and that's obviously what parrying is. If you don't want to parry or you can't because you can't get the timing then don't. Why is taking no damage with a dodge not enough for you?

If this game had a big flashing indicator for parrying, literally ever single fight would become trivialized, and every person would build every party member and use every picto and lumina solely to buff parrying only because it is objectively the best outcome of every single enemy turn.

At 30+ hours in with the exception of 1 optional mini-boss, this game does not require you to parry, so please stop asking like it needs to be changed. Play the game for what it is, not what you want it to be.

One thing I will add too, if people decide to go with a tank build on easy to just take hits, later on you will fight something that is much harder if you just let yourself get hit. So eventually, you're gonna want to learn how to avoid hits.

I just never dodged so i was forced to learn to parry lol.

I don't even notice any difference between parry and dodge

I did the exact same thing. Figured I may as well just go all in.

Dodge is my default option. I only parry after learning to dodge a move.

Parry is high risk high reward and should almost never be used against new enemies and/or long combos.

You can definitely get by with some sloppy dodges, and you can feel that your rhythm is off with their attack but still land the dodge. Different than the tightness of a perfect dodge or parry. Where you can feel a flow. The game even says "DODGE UNTIL YOU LEARN THE MOVESET THEN TRY TO PARRY"

Exactly! Your post wasn't up yet when I was typing mine but people are ignoring tips directly from the devs and then whining when the game doesn't cater to the way they want to play. Like I said before play it for what it is not what you expect it to be.

Some bosses have skills you want to dodge, skills that prevents you from using skills (silence), or makes you attack your companions (charm), or prevents you from dodging (anchor, I guess) and gradually reduces your HP/max HP to 1 for every stack (blighted, or something)

You actually just need to listen for audio queues, not visual queues. There's this little sound, like a "SCHING" idk how to describe it, but it plays right before it's time to parry. It's a bit of an inconsistent sound (sounds different depending on the enemy) but once u notice it it's much easier (still tough though ngl)
Or put the game on Story mode. It's easy. It's supposed to be easy. The parry timing becomes as loose as the dodge timing from expedition.
I haven't tried it but the optional boss that requires parry might be able to be done without parry using explosive death or whatever that picto is called.
The counters after successful parries are fuggin badass though. You can dodge your way through the game but you're really missing out on some awesome animations and they don't just look cool, they do serious damage as well. Trust me, getting the parries down definitely takes some practice but it's worth it. The counter attacks are by far my favorite battle mechanic.
