Yeah according to the author these are the timing windows per difficulty:
Dodge: 0.35/0.22/0.22
Parry: 0.25/0.15/0.15
It's no surprise that so many people are having trouble and complaining about it.
Tested with the "Twice Easier Dodge and Parry", the game feels so much more natural now and attack animations are now well synchronized with the dodge and parry system.
I found out how to customize it and landed on
dodge: .4/.35/.3
parry: .25/.2/.15
Feels great.
Do the three .pak type files go directly in the ~mods folder, or do they stay in their 'Easier' folder etc?
Take them out of the Easier folder and the 3 files go into ~mods folder.
disconnect "enemy strength" difficulty from "parry/dodge stinginess" difficulty
allow us to play max strength enemies with boomer reflexes
incredible game, deserves proper tuning options
this will do until then, bookmarked, cheers
