While everyone here is whining to no end about how hard this is and trying to find workarounds this actually made it REALLY easy for me, and I got it after two more tries. God people really are just so easily put off by any challenge. People are so entitled. Everyone has to be a winner, always. No exceptions. Thanks dude.
Protip for tldr: just hold down the right trigger (run button) the entire time as you reposition. It helps you turn faster and speeds up your recovery dramatically.
I can pretty much do this event reliably, in fact I find it pretty fun. Love that they just don't hand it to you.
Best part, the reward is great. Sciel looks great in her bathing suit! <3
How I did it was the following for the hardest one:
1. The gestrals are expected to hit the areas where the pile of planks are located on your boat. Have your character position on those spots or behind them slightly in a straight or diagonal position towards them if possible. (think NW-N-NE on a compass, position them in that position facing the opponent.)
2. While using my keyboard, I used shift+W+A for the left lane (default sprint + diagonal positioning), followed by shift+W+D to sprint to the other lanes followed by a quick W+D/W+A to position the character. (Will need a bit of practice to familiarise)
3. For my case, I focused on one of the 2 side lanes (left and centre for me because I cannot focus on the right lane easily), unfortunately I had to pray that there were not many left and right gestrals at the same time.
4. I had to make sure I hit the timing right for one gestral, if you miss, you will have to tank a 2nd hit so you can have the recovery time to hit the 3rd gestral (also why I dislike the long recovery time). This applies to step 3 unless there is a burning gestral, you may need to go and hit it.
5. Repeat step 1-2, accounting to step 4 in mind, and you will have a sig. higher chance on beating the hardest one.
they really need to just make it so you stand still and only have to worry about facing
always a reply in a thread about bad controls with a useless turd telling everyone how very good he is at games. good for you, no one cares or believes you
literally the problem actually, you can't NOT reposition to change directions and thats what causes the issue. if you could not reposition every time you change facings it wouldn't be so bad
Turning down the visual effects helped a lot on hard, the problem is that on High and above the particle effects were so much that I could not see the next gestral. I think thats an oversight on the minigame.
You know, I was here when the thread was made and somehow managed to resist posting ''skill issue''.
If it wasn't hard you wouldnt find it annoying.
