How do you shoot the locks to open a cage?

I found the locks and can aim at them but how do you shoot? I tried all buttons but none seem to work.. Shooting works fine when in combat..

The same button you're using during the figh to shoot ennemies.

Are you using a controller? I believe people have been having trouble using DualSense4, I had to switch to mouse just to Free Aim fire.

yep, that seemed to be the problem.. switched to mouse and was able to shoot. Weird, devs recommend playing with a controller and then dont add support for ps controllers..

found a inconsistent workaround. hold RT and LT and click b. shoots sometimes. idk why

I figured out a fix on my controller (8bitdo). If you go into the steam controller settings for the game (next to the gear settings icon), edit layout, and then triggers: add left/Right trigger to full pull and soft pull.

I have the same problem with xbox controller Ill try some recommendations here. I thought i still have to go through the story first before unlocking it. Lol.

I've been using Xbox controller, and it's just LT to start aiming and RT to fire. However, LT will not actually go into aiming mode if you are running, deaccelerating from a run, or midair. It's possible the game is thinking you're getting stuck in one of these states.
