Any reviews that cover PC Performance?

In my cursory search I couldn't find any reviews on the PC performance of the game.
There is a Steam Deck Review which stated it ran better than some other Deck Verified games recently but that's about all I can find.

holy cow, a mobile 4050 playing at medium quality, DLSS quality, at 1080p running at ~79FPS on average, with 1% lows at 46 FPS.

5070ti desktop at 1440, native using DLAA, high settings, 85FPS average, 1% lows at 53 FPS. Add in DLSS Quality, and its 133 FPS average with 78 FPS 1% lows.

That is an well optimized game.

Exactly, expecting reasonable performance from anything made on UE5 is just cope at this point...

I personally haven't had many issues running UE5 games and this game seems to be pretty well optimized. Especially after reading the interview on the Unreal website.

I'm averaging 80-90 FPS at 1440p in the open world on the Gamepass version of the Oblivion remaster with a mix of medium/high settings, which also uses UE5.

Clair Obscur isn't even an open world game so I expect the performance to be at least similar if not better.

There's nothing wrong with UE5 for a game like this. The kinds of workloads unreal tends to struggle with are those with extremely large numbers of entities (talking hundreds of thousands here) or MMO level fare with hundreds of simultaneous players in an area. E33 is none of these.

Oblivion Remastered is a prime example….runs like dog water on my 4090 and 7800x3d. I’m still having fun regardless, but it can be rough. Very much looking forward to Clair Obscure afterwards though!

It runs poorly, my pc is a beast having 64gb ram i7 14th gen and 5070ti and i had to put it on medium with dlss on balanced to have 140 fps while on other games with settings on ultra i have above 200 is badly baaaaaaaaaadly optimized

I've only played the Gamepass version, but assuming the Steam version is the same, then performance isn't great. I have a 4090 with everything on Epic, not that there's much clarity in what any of the settings do as they're just text on a blank screen. Frame rates are in the 60-70 range sometimes, but drop into the 40-50 range when I pan the camera around or anything of interest happens on screen,

It's also worth saying that as this is Unreal it of course stutters a lot, and image quality is absolutely horrible. Even with DLAA, it's a blurry mess.

There's also no support for frame gen, which is a rather odd miss these days. Plus you get the usual god awful Unreal engine lighting where everything glows and is super washed out.

The game itself seems like a nice mid-budget effort, but if this was running on a better engine it would be a whole lot better.

It can be summed up as "It's a UE5 game." UE5 is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ abomination. I have more thoughts, but those thoughts are best left as thoughts.

I'd say there's something wrong with Unreal for anything beyond the likes of Belatro.

wondering aswell, since i never found a well optimized UE5 game lol. in most you have to use upscaling so all the great graphics look like 2017 games but still with stutters. i mean wtf happened to the industry. every UE5 stutters when loading in new enemies/areas. doesnt matter if you have 300 fps with framegen or 60 fps without framegen/upscaling
