Why after some recordings the check mark symbol appears and for others it do not?

I guess it means the rocording was not good enough but I don't understand why.

I think the checkmark signifies you've done a recording attributed to a 'quest' or task. Like recording 5 spots for the video rental place.
Anything without a check is just a normal recording.
