Earth 2160

Earth 2160

This game requires full personal information to get out of demo mode. It will not run on Windows 8.
I got ripped off, even at $1.24! It asks for your full name, birthdate, address and more just to activate. There's no good reason that I would want to give all that to them, especially when it doesn't even run right. Once I entered junk into the registration fields, it gave me access beyond the demo, then it wouldn't run right. Don't waste your money or time.

Windows 8, seriously?

Game's release date was 1st April 2006 and you didn't have Windows Vista/7/8 back then, so you should probably check the game's requirements first:

Then check whether your OS supports games, that were initially made for Windows XP.

This information is incorrect, you do not need to enter any details whatsoever.

When you first install the game, you need to enter your serial key and activate the game.

On the activation screen where you press "Activate via internet", there is a "register" checkbox that it ticked by default. Simply untick this box and press activate.

The only reason people are having to enter details is because they are leaving the register checkbox ticked.

Why does the internet bring out the worst in humanity for public display?

The registration request is horrible though. Selling the game for next to nothing just so they can sell your info to datafarms, that's pretty low. Brilliant little game though congrats to the devs.

just type pe nis in every text box, than ask for random support and wait, "Dear pe nis..."

Thanks! You helped me avoid registration.

You don't need to register to play the game. And it runs perfectly fine on my (Windows 7) machine

Also, you don't need to register to play the game, you only need to register to play the Multiplayer and get the DLCs (More Maps).

This is a really great game in my opinion and the makers allow fans to make updates for the game, and they make updates too, so they might enable it for Windows 8.

Thats a complete false statement, its required to play skirmish.
