EARTH 2160- So how do i download the Superstorm Mod V3, I can't get it to work.

I downloaded the game for mac, and I tried getting the superstorm mod. It's a exe. file so i tried opening it with wine thinking this might work, all it said was that Earth 2160 directory is not found. So then I tried putting the exe. file into the game folder (which worked for NEP 2.0) but it didn't work... Please help I want to see all the add ons like team based battles and weather

I hope you liked NEP2, I did not. The superstorm file should have a .wd suffix and put into the WDfiles folder, not game or data folders. If it is an zip or RaR file it will have to be extraxted with 7z or other extractor. Then it should reveal the .wd file. this is what you put into the wdfiles folder to work.

where i do i get the file with a wd.suffix? I've just only found exe. files. And yea i didn't like NEP2

Yeah, i still cant find any downloads of the Superstorm mod without the exe. at the end, I really want to play with teams because its intresting having an AI teammate. So do you know how i can get this mod?

A suggestion then. take the .exe file you have, put it in Earth 2160/wdfiles folder and try running it there. The file it should install would be called (SuperStorm v3.0.wd). I believe running the .exe file from there will place it where it should be. It should self extract right in the folder. Look in/open the wdfiles folder and see if there is the file mentioned above. If it is there then then the mod is installed and it show up in the top selection of the start menu.

I tried it but it didn't work. I'll show you my steps and what I did and you can see if I made any mistakes, keep in mind I'm using a Mac also. I go to steam apps/common/Earth 2160/ and then I open the package contents. I go to drive_c/Program Files/Reality Pump/Earth 2160 (folder)/WDFiles and that's where I placed the mod at. I really hope you can help me with this problem and there is no mention of the mod in the WDFiles.

I don't think what you talk about and what I'm thinking are not the same thing. If you bought the game from Steam, then it should be already installed. Comes with the game. At least mine did. From what you said you did, then as far as I know, you did it right. The file name should be (SuperStorm V3.0.wd). Of course, you said your using a mac. If thats the case, then I don't know what else to tell you. They do things differently. It has to be the .wd file. an .exe wont do it. Really sorry ...

Dang it, I do know that my version is 1.3.7 but that's all... I really hope I can get it one day. I've tried using wine to open the exe. file but it just says it can't find the directory. Well, thanks for the help.

The file is not very big that I couldn't send it to you via email. If you want to, send a private message with your email address and I can attach the file to it, then just copy/paste it into C/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Earth 2160/WDfiles folder. It would be up to you though if you want to do it that way.
