I felt similar. Although the process of getting to the end was pretty fun, falling a bit flat at the end still stucks.
Even a short cutscene (like Neru waking up) would have been nice.
It's especially weird given how many cut scenes are in the other parts of the game, so to have them missing in such a crucial part is really noticeable. Hopefully they can add one in, the dev team seems to be pretty actively making changes so who knows. But I really feel like an having an ending is something core to the experience that shouldn't have to be patched in after the fact.
So it makes sense that there's no ending there, because Neru had woken up in reality at that moment they defeat Dream Eater.
Even if its something like Neru wakes up and thinks its all a dream and all the characters are in her room as plushies or something.
Hard same. I lost to the final boss after an hour's long fight and I just have no will to start over again. The fact that there's no ending means I'm not gonna pick up this game again. Incredible game overall, but a disappointing end.
what?
No matter the developers make the ending or not, if you don't complete it, you're unable to see the end, whether the ending exists or not has no difference to you.
Also, the Dream Eater will still revive after a period of time, after that, another human may be sent to the dream world to do the things again, which makes it endless.
