This time, we're bringing you the latest development showcase for "Eaves": a brand-new building tile, "Two-Story Marketplace Tavern."

Its prototype is inspired by the "Sun Yang Shop" from "Along the River During the Qingming Festival." In our model, we've retained the characteristics of bustling marketplace architecture such as the double-story pavilion, street-facing storefronts, wooden corridors, and gray tiled double eaves. We hope this allows players to experience a more vibrant ancient street atmosphere as they build their districts.

In "Eaves" every building tile is not just decoration; it's also a piece of your own ancient-style streetscape coming together. We will continue to refine more buildings, streets, and scene content, and welcome your continued attention.

I enjoy playing the playtest demo and find it relaxing and engaging, but I struggle to navigate the menu as it is all in foreign characters that I am unable to read. I feel I may be missing out on something because I don't even know it's there. I don't mind the characters in the title screen, but I would like to be able to read the menu options in English. I love the game and plan to buy it upon release....

Eaves Demo Major Update!

Hello everyone,

After a period of silence, we've carried out a major update to the "Eaves" Demo. After this update, the game will fully focus on the production of the full version. Subsequently, only minor fixes will be made to the demo. We welcome you all to actively share your opinions with us, so that the full version of "Eaves" can be presented to you in an even better form.

The main contents of this update are as follows:

The level mode has been completely reconstructed into a step - by - step puzzle - solving gameplay. A small level of Fortune Teller's Stall is provided for you to experience. After completing the level, you will directly enter the free mode, where you can continue to improve the urban area in the game based on the previous progress.
The functions in the free mode have been comprehensively updated and optimized:
- Grouping function: You can group multiple resources and edit and move them together.
- Optimization of snap - to - place operation: A more convenient placement function allows resources to be placed in more accurate positions.
- Advanced control function: Functions such as rotation and vertical movement are provided, enabling you to make more detailed position adjustments.
- Color - adjustment function: You can select colors for different items, making the game world more colorful.
- Screenshot function: You can take screenshots at any time to save the scenes you've created.
- Reference grid: It provides a better spatial reference, making it more convenient and accurate for placing items.
- Grid snapping: Press the TAB key to perform grid snapping.
Interactive functions have been added to some resources. Try holding down the Ctrl key and then clicking on the kitten or the sparrow.
The function of switching forms has been added to some resources. For example, for houses, you can hide the walls and roofs by switching forms, which helps you decorate the indoor scenes better.
English and Traditional Chinese have been updated.
Some new sound effects have been updated.

Eaves Dev Log: Sandbox Mode Upgrade! New Features ✨

Hello everyone!

The development diary for "Eaves" is here again! 🛠️

Recently, we've added a series of very practical new features to the game's "Sandbox Mode", making your scene-building experience smoother and more free. Come and check out the highlights of this update:

Snapping Placement Optimization: You can now select and scale items directly while placing them, making construction much more effortless!
Brand New Grouping Mode: Supports free grouping of multiple tiles! In the future, this feature will also allow you to save your masterpieces (like the fortune-telling stall in the video) as "custom tiles," which can be placed with a single click like regular items, greatly improving scene-building efficiency!
Diverse State Switching: Items can now have different forms! For example, lightboxes that can be freely turned on and off, or benches that can generate different length variants with a single click. We will continue to enrich more interesting switching forms in the future~

I will update these new features to the latest DEMO as soon as possible. Everyone, go and try them out when they're ready, haha! 😉

Release a Demo? 考虑放出测试版？

This game seems interesting (of course). It is actually quite playable in the current condition--core function is completed. I think the advanced complex system for keeping the player continue to play(i.e, building tasks, scores, and achievements) is actually a later feature. Releasing a playable demo helps not only raising substantial players, but also checking the problem/bugs and receiving advice. Unity 3d engine powered games are usually filled with bugs, which would be worse when the scene expands to ...
