I was hoping this would be fixed :(
I run on RX 7900 XTX and found out that the game has issues with this GPU or vice versa, so anyway, I forcefully updated AMD drivers to 23.10.23.03, turned OFF the Upscale Method and Dynamic Resolution Scaling, settings to medium (but I don't think settings even matter) and even installed a new update for the game that came out at the time which also could have been the solution to all my problems, but no. I should say that at some point it proceeded ahead from that animation to gameplay and I played the rest of the game, until I softlocked myself on Blizar Prime... I am heartbroken because I love this game but it is basically unplayable for me, please help.
If you can still reproduce that crash in the beginning of the game on the latest version, please contact support and supply the requested files, so we can look into this: https://insom.games/RatchetPCSup
I'm stuck and don't have a save before this omg
I disabled Ray Tracing to enjoy 100 plus framerates, after which I experienced multiple issues, like not being able to reliably speed up on hooverboots, missing scripted events on grind rails, and having some of the boss battles sequences fail to trigger. It's obvious to me now that all of it was related to high framerate. I'm happy to see those were addressed.
I am really impressed with Rift Apart nonetheless. The game has issues but it's nowhere near as unplayable as Cyberpunk 2077 three years after release. :D
