Possible audio lag fix by removing dstorage.dll and dstoragecore.dll
Title says it all, I saw some article stating this was hindering Nvidia gpus. I was having unplayable audio lag with no actual FPS lag. Removing these has no effect gameplay wise so far. Slowish rift load but I am on 3050ti laptop so yeah. I just pulled mine out from the game folder onto my desktop in case i need to put them back for some reason.

I would recommend restoring the DLL files and checking again if the issue comes back, because generally speaking audio issues are caused by a overworked CPU, and disabling/removing DirectStorage _increases_ the CPU load further.

Hence why restoring the DLL files and checking if the issue reappears is a good way of verifying whether DirectStorage was actually related to it or not, or if a simple game restart was in reality what solved it (placebo "fixes" are going wild in the PC space at times).

Looks like removing doesnt fix this, but I watched my CPU usage while playing and it hovers around 30-40% use and around 2-3 mins into playing the clock speed drops from 1.4 to .8-.9 exactly when the audio starts lagging and never goes higher than .9 so I think your right about the issue being CPU related, hopefully a real patch fixes this.
