DON'T make a guide
I make the claim that a guide takes away from the game for me anyway. I have had such an amazing time trying and failing and figuring things out. I woke up this morning thinking about the game and how I could improve my world. Logistics. Connections etc. Not having a guide has actually been a huge positive for me. I was forced to figure things out on my own rather than read a guide, a walkthrough, or watch a let's play. I have spent HOURS in this game. Great job devs!

Issue / Bug: The music keeps skipping like an old record player.

Kind regards.

There is a charm to figuring it out yourself, but dang, I almost rage quit a few times because I couldn't figure out that organic waste is processed in the same recycling center that metal waste it. I blew 13 hours yesterday and had a blast, but not having a guide made that much less fun than it might have been.

to late ive made 2 guides, but feel free to not use them. They are for people who want to Min Max but havnt ran the numbers yet. Not How to do X Y Z

I do like figuring stuff out, but a recipe guide would be REALLY helpful :steamhappy:

Games pretty easy to understand, don't know why people are having issues.

If a guide helps sell more copies of this lovely little game, I'm all for a guide.

Not that I would use it -- I'm funny that way. For me half the fun of a game is wrangling the mechanics out of it -- I'm playing Disgea 2 with no manual / guide for example. and having a blast.

Will I have the best score / be the best min/maxxer around? Hell no, but I'm having fun on my own terms.

Got to admit it is fun finding out for myself how things work. What I would like to see how others plan out there factory's etc.
I have tried many ways to find the best way.

Here's a couple of designs for factory parks I came up with, if these help give you any ideas. You can easily turn that polymer factory park into a dual input / single output (or single input / dual output) park by adding a second loading area for the second resource on the other side. And the atmosphere extractors layout is suitable for anything with no input / dual output (drills, atmosphere extractors), or dual input / no output (greenhouse gas spewers).

I don't claim this is "the best," just what I've liked using.

Yeah totally understand people who do like a guide or want to Min max, all good whatever you enjoy! For me reading how to design the best process takes away the fun of figuring it out myself. It’s like copying and pasting for me, and I feel I may as well watch somebody else play it. Just me though. I’ve restarted many times. Got to rail stage and totally wasn’t expecting rail, so restarted with that in mind for the next game. Then discovered those tower things and decided to make warehouse areas all over my world. Then a railroad wrapping around the world. Really fun, especially for the price.

Oh forgot another little question / annoyance I can’t quite figure out. Maybe I need a guide. Lol. Do we lose the resources if say we delete a depot with resources on it? Or demo a truck route with trucks on it with resources on board? Or a facility midway through building. I assume so. Also so annoying when you realise you built 589 extractors and no way to get those resources back. Enjoy peeps!

Currently yeah, I think the resources go poof. Dev said he wants to fix that, however.

Thank you for reminding us how smart you are. We (people hoping for a guide) appreciate being insulted.
[Just to be clear, the above is sarcasm, your comment is either insulting, or trolling.]

Nice one!

I agree and disagree. I found it difficult to grow the city when I couldn't figure out why the waste icons wouldn't appear. To be honest, I don't understand why it appeared sometimes or how I levelled up. In between the levels it seems some icons open up, but aren't fully available. For example, plastic waste is accumulating - but I can't transport it out of the waste supply from the city, because it's not available to choose from a supply pad menu.

I do like the sense of journey.... maybe do both? I grew the other cities and it seemed to sort of fix the weird levelling issue.

You'll feel what you want to feel to justify your outrage, doesn't change the fact that I still don't know why people are having issues with easy to understand, self explanatory mechanics.

Then don't look at the guide? The f kind of mentality is this?

"I don't like using guides therefore they shouldn't exist."

lmao

That's some nice projection you've got there, it would be a shame if I never said I was against guides.
