Are dams broken?

My main city was about to reach 100k people but it ended up getting flooded after the water would go straight through the dams, most of my reinforced concrete factorys got flooded as well due to water just appearing right on top of them making 2 of my citys unable to progress unless i use trains to get sulfure from across the map. has anyone else had thing issue? Would be cool in the future to see a way to get the water with water pumps

my city got a nice river. which took out alot of buildings but it just grew round and over it.

water pumps seem to be getting a move terrain water feature in the future.

Yeah, I played 2 games by now. The dams seem not to work. The river just seems to glitch through the walls :|

Thanlks for the poste, i termfrome to fast an know my bigest city is going down, i will push for +20 to see what happen and than start a new game.
