. But the game has gotten many patches and fixes and it should run better then it did on release but its still demanding for many.
install the game and try it out.
I had some crashes sometimes when I pressed Escape during the first couple of chapters. That's gone now.
Still get occasionaly shimmer, shudder when frame rate drops in more testy areas. My cap is 140fps, which I can hit most of the time with DLSS. However if I get a drop to 135fps, or 125 etc, it shimmers/shudders sometimes a bit.
However there is an issue that is causing the game to lock up and crash. Happened about 5 times in my play through. It didn't happen in left behind though, and one bug that made Ellie not want to leave a pallet that needed a restart.
Maybe the Console version is the un optimized version, since it can only push upscaled 1440 P for 30 FPS.
The issue with this game is that it doesn't run well on "Unoptimized PC's."
If you bought your PC and didn't put it together yourself with a Quality Motherboard, Memory, and NVME drive, then you don't really have an optimized PC. You hope you do, but you have no clue. And, slapping a 4090 in the piece of junk you bought, is not going to make it a better PC.
Its always the guy complaining about how the game doesn't run well on his PC, who can't be bothered to even list his specs. Which is the first clue or tell. The only reason someone doesn't list their specs is because deep down they realize they have a garbage PC. We all know we like to brag about our PC's. And, even without being asked we will offer up our PC specs and even tell you what Mouse and Keyboard we are using.
MSI MAG Z690 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4 > Overclocked DDR 4 because its still currently better than DDR 5
WD_BLACK 2TB SN850X NVMe > One of the best NVME drives available.
Nvidia Founders Edition 3080 TI > I upgrade every other generation of video card, so I'll get a 5080 when they are avaialbe. If you buy anything other than the 80 or 90 edition of a video card, you are getting a low end video card.
Intel I5 12600K
I'm not even running what would be considered top gear right now, and like I stated above I'm getting a steady 80 FPS in true 4K with all the settings on ULTRA. So, yeah totally unoptimized :) Not saying the game can't be even better than it is, but it's not the games fault that you shouldn't be PC gaming on cutting edge games.
Definitely using DLSS on a Sony 120HZ TV, and it looks beautiful. Way better than it looks on my PS5. You are clearly butt hurt by my post and have no clue what DLSS even does.
